“Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is arguably the most
powerful Behavioral Science on the planet today.

Science Digest describes NLP as, “the most powerful vehicle for change in existence.”

Communicate, Connect and Create Change

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) supports me in my daily life and is one of the foundational skill sets I draw on in my facilitation. It is among the most practical and effective approaches I have found for transforming long-established behavior patterns and creating lasting positive change.

Many of the principles of NLP were developed before the science of neuroplasticity became widely understood. Yet the therapists whose work shaped NLP recognized—through careful observation and experience—how change happens in the brain, language, and behavior. Today, research on neuroplasticity helps explain why many of these methods are so effective.

When offered with integrity and care, NLP supports healing, expands possibilities, and encourages transformation at a deep level. It provides practical skills for managing your internal state and strengthening your ability to remain present in meaningful or challenging moments.

The skills you learn through NLP can help you:

  • Respond with awareness rather than react automatically.

  • Communicate more clearly and effectively.

  • Shift limiting patterns of thinking and behavior.

  • Navigate change and loss with greater resilience.

  • Strengthen trust in your own inner knowing.

In The Studio: A Personal Development Workshop, these skills are not taught as techniques to memorize. Instead, they are woven naturally into the facilitation process to support the real-time inner work that unfolds in community. They help create the conditions for insight, choice, and movement—where change becomes something you experience, not just something you understand.

The Learning Well in Medford, Oregon teaches NLP in their Insight Series. I highly recommend the quality of teaching and integrity they bring to this work.
